My Exclusive View On IS101

Joining IS101 so far has been a wonderful experience. I have taken a similar class like this before in middle school, but not as advanced, so following prompts should not be hard. My view on this class is that if a student is not focused, willing to put effort or set a time management schedule for the class, they will struggle. When Professor Wu explained about making 100% on the projects or getting no credit at all, it makes much sense. You must follow what the prompts in the book tell you to do on the software. It is as simple as that. The class is straightforward and gives room for students to finish strong. The only hard thing about the class would be the qualification/Certification exams. Other than that, this is a great class that will give students the necessary skills needed for IT/business careers.

  2. I also took a similar class during my first attempt at college, but it did not come with MOS certifications. I agree that this class is straightforward, and gives students plenty of opportunity to finish strong.

  3. I took a similar class in middle school as well but it was not as in-depth as this course. I'm really nervous about the certification exams but I know it will be beneficial to have those for my resume. Best of luck this semester.

I am excited for this semester- it will be lots of work, but it will be so worth it! Keep track of the deadlines, balance of life, and we should both be good this semester and succeed!

  5. Just like you said, it's as simple as follow the steps. You'd be surprised in my field of work, how many people have difficulty following directions. I'm a little nervous about the Certification exams as well, but also looking forward to adding another tool to my tool belt, good luck.

  6. I do agree with you. It took me a while to set up my blog, but after I did some research and follow the invite from professor,so I get a little bit better. But I do believe that hard work always pays in the end. Have a good evening.

  7. Right, this course is structured well and straight to the point. Can't stop thinking that Professor Wu might have something crafty in store, and throw us a curve ball. The MOS certification is the cherry on top. Good luck in IS101.

  8. I was thinking the same thing about the class being straightforward the first week. I also agree that managing your time will play a vital role in the class. Good luck with the exams.

  9. I agree with you, however being successful at time management is easier said than done especially when you have other commitments as many of our classmates do. This class is structured beautifully and Professor Wu is a great teacher, but there is also a lot more that goes into academic success than that. I'm sure those of us that have stayed on the course will try our absolute best and put all our effort into succeeding. I wish everyone luck in balancing their home lives and their academic ones.

  10. I like the structure of this class as well. Professor Wu really puts in all of his effort to make sure each one of us has an opportunity to succeed in his class. I appreciate the patience he has for his students given that everyone has different responsibilities to attend to at home aside from their academic life. I truly look forward to seeing how the rest of the semester will play out.

  11. Hello Arinze! I'm glad to here that you are starting of this class with a strong start. I think it's important that we always make the best of anything, so I envy you! You also said that if you don't put in 100% in class, you will struggle? I couldn't agree more. Good luck!
